Linda K Swank, PhD, CCC-SLP

Dr. Swank received her BA and MA from Wichita State University and her PhD from the University of Kansas. She taught for several years at the University of Virginia, prior to returning to Wichita State, as Chairperson of the Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences. Dr. Swank is a nationally recognized speaker on dyslexia, phonological awareness and literacy acquisition throughout the school years. Dr. Swank is co-author of the curriculum-embedded assessment of Phonological Awareness and Literacy Skills (PALS).




Candace R. Razo, B.S. Child Development Specialist

Candace Razo has several years of experience in tutoring individuals who have learning differences. Candace's degree is in Family and Child Development from Texas State University, San Marcos. Mrs. Razo has been trained in the use of the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing Program (LIPS), as well as multimodality approaches for oral and written language, mathematics, and science. Mrs. Razo directs all tutoring and supplemental programs at the Swank Institute and is supervised by Dr. Linda Swank
